3-O-Ethyl-L-Ascorbic Acid, also known as Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, is one of the most stable and effective vitamin C derivatives for cosmetic use. It appears as white crystalline powder.
Different from unstable pure VC, this ethylated vitamin C structure greatly improves oxidation resistance and thermal stability, avoiding yellowing and deactivation in formulas. With excellent skin permeability, it penetrates the epidermal layer rapidly to inhibit tyrosinase activity, block melanin formation, fade pigmentation and sun spots.
